Ever wondered how JavaScript handles asynchronous operations despite being single-threaded? It's all thanks to the Event Loop, Callback Queue, and Web APIs.
In simple terms: Synchronous code runs first. Asynchronous callbacks (like setTimeout or fetch) are handed off to the browser's Web APIs. Once they're done, they wait in the Callback Queue. The Event Loop constantly checks if the Call Stack is empty. If it is, it pushes the next callback from the Queue to the Stack!

Aspinall v Gane - UFC title fight predictions

Tom Aspinall is set to make the first defence of his undisputed heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane at UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

Manchester's Aspinall was upgraded from interim to undisputed champion in June when former American title holder Jon Jones retired.

Aspinall, 32, spent 19 months as interim champion, waiting for a bout with Jones to materialise, but had to refocus his sights on Gane when the match-up was confirmed three months ago.

Frenchman Gane, 35, is a former interim champion himself and is looking to win the undisputed belt for the first time.

Gold Hits Fourth Record in a Row as Investors Flock to Safe Haven

Gold continued its rally on Thursday, climbing to a new record of $4,242 per ounce on the London market — the fourth consecutive all-time high.

The ongoing US–China trade tensions and expectations of further interest rate cuts in the US remain key drivers behind the surge. Since early September, gold has gained around 24% in value, boosted by demand for gold-backed ETFs and central bank purchases aimed at reducing reliance on the US dollar.

In euros, gold also hit a new peak of €3,636 per ounce, while silver traded at $52.74, just below Tuesday’s record of $53.54.
